Lois, 25, shares her story...Before I start with the story, you should know some background. My parents got divorced, when I was 21, so 3 years ago. My father moved on and came to England to start his life over in 2014. At that time I was still living in Spain with my mum, but we could not get along so I decided to follow my father and started at university last year. Dad is a 47-year-old engineer, tall with brown eyes and hair. He is kind, gentle, warm hearted, funny, energetic, but he is kind of selfish too. He is unapologetic. He would never really admit if he did something wrong, if he believes that he was right. Anyway we have a common laptop at home, that I also use once in a while. One day, not so long ago, I wanted to check up on an article that I had to read for the next day. So I opened the laptop and there was another opened tab, which had a weird name - Sugardaters . I thought it was something to do with dating, but I was not prepared for the shock I got. I know it's not nice but I was so curious that I clicked to check it out. Then I saw there were a lot of messages with different women of different ages and I started to go through their profile. He was asking women to go on a date with him. He suggested different opportunities such as a weekend, spa, dinner, wine tasting nights. What unnerved me was he did not seem serious at all. He showed a little interest in each of them, asking them about their life and how it is going, but nothing serious. All of them were young or at least not more than 32 years old. In the messages they offered a good and relaxing time and dates to him if he can spoil them a bit. But my biggest shock was when I read a text from one of my classmate from the university. I was absolutely terrified and upset in the same time. They had been talking about their last date, where they went for a dinner together, and they both agreed that it was a really good night. And then my father asked her to go for another date, but she said she is busy, she has to work, because she needs another laptop. After that, my father offered that he could buy a new laptop for her if they go for dinner. She said yes. We are not particularly close friends but I think she should have known that she is dating my dad. And my dad seriously wants girls of my age? I am disgusted, he is 47 years old. I know the divorce was really hard for him, but I never believed he would start to date on this kind of website and with this kind of young women.... In the end, I just left that tab open as it was. I have never had the courage to talk about this with him.
I caught my dad on a ‘sugar daddy’ dating site; requesting a date with my CLASSMATE
Lois was shocked when she discovered her dad had been using their shared laptop for online "sugar daddy" dating - and staggered when she discovered one of his "dates" was girl the same age as her.
